The authors of "Shade Tree Evaluation" currently contemplate a revision of their lists, but this will not importantly affect the present scales except to raise the values assigned to certain of the smaller, ornamental species. States and Provinces included in each of the regions in the lists of trees are: I. New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont. II. Eastern: New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania. III. Southern: Alabama, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia. IV. Central: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio. |
